How to deal with a bratty 17-year-old brother who thinks he's too good to be in the family to be doing chores and sharing the bathroom?

show him how poor people live in the third world

don't clean his room and let him watch as the dirt piles up.
he won't be able to live alone if he can't even handle chores.

    I agree with hahaoof.

Confront him in front of your parents if needed.

You need to get your parents involved. He’s their son after all, it’s not your responsibility to educate and make him a proper adult. If you parents also think that he doesn’t have to do anything, well good luck and get out of there asap.

I have tried multiple times to get my parents involved but they don't seem to care, and when he gets in trouble they drag the rest of the kids with. I would try to get out but don't got the money hahaha...

At this point, if he has specific chores, just let them be. If nobody does it your parents will get involved and you can just say it was his chores and not yours.

My brothers have that bad habit of letting their hair everywhere and i've only been cleaning out the corners I need and calling out my brothers in front of everybody so they can't reply with things like "i don't care" or "you do it".
