The main pairing's story tends to be longer than the side pairings... this is true for almost ALL the stories on here. The main difference is that it's taking place all at the same time rather than having the side pairings come after the main get together. That's just something you're gonna have to get to used to or just wait until it's finished so you can read the main pairing's story only.
Slow burn stories are fine and everything but a teensy tiny bit of progress in MC's relationship would be nice after 91 chapters and counting. The side character's romance is moving at a faster rate than the main's. I feel like if I went back 20, even 50 chapters, LiHuan and YuYang would still be doing the same back and forth beating around the bush act.
I do feel kinda bad for the author getting bashed. As an artist it's hard to continue to put out the story in your head when you're faced with backlash but backlash is inevitable at some point with any public work. I think some critiques are genuinely good points and helpful while others are just cruel.
