I've been tired of cliche women in manga who are the so-called "straight-laced and serious" but fall apart when a guy (mostly better than her) makes a move on her or tease her, weakening her. It's so satisfying to encounter a woman in manga like her who doesn't break character and isn't swayed by little things such as compliments about her beauty or flirting. Usually when I read, the cool, unwavering cold-stone personality is usually reserved for douchy male men in manga who are mary sues in everything. Im glad in this manga it's not the case. I love how her background has shaped her into the woman she is; stone-cold at first glance, but secretly has a kind and warm heart wanting to help the little girl for instance.
