I agree with you. I seriously can’t find where any links were ever shared publicly when they originally released it, and I follow them. Not complaining that they translate, but I don’t get actually translating for so little sharing. If it were me, and I worked that hard to do all the scanning, cleaning, translating and typesetting, I would share it with everyone.
Just letting this here

Me too! We treat translators (we normal readers I mean) as heroes over here. I would seriously love people to know me as the one who brought them their favorite manga in their language haha. But seriously I even follow translators on social media. Most of them are super chill. Those are...a rare case for sure. I mean...this aint their work, they shouldn't take it that heavily for someone sharing it
I don't really like your attitude. I do buy them if I can find them ! You know not everyone is from a country that can easily acces shit. I recently read a manga here that was soo good I had to buy the whole thing......but then discovered that vol 1 or any other volume wasn't in english...or anywhere at all. I have no clue where the translators find the sources at times but bellieve me when I say this: I wish I had a place where I could buy any manga I could or support my favorite creators as much as I could. I wouldn't have to come here and see people botch about shit like this
I missed it, my apologies. I mean no disrespect by saying anything. It’s your choice on how you share your translations, and as one of your fans I truly appreciate the hard work and time you put into it. I can’t even imagine how long it takes.
I rarely go on FB, so likely that’s why I missed it. I just wanted to let fans know they wouldn’t find further posts here for this manga. I didn’t realize until today actually, your works weren’t supposed to be on Mangago. That being said, thank you again for all your hard work on your translations!
Thats a very nice way to put it and Im sorry but I really don't know how to use imagur I find it too unorganised. That being said do whatever you want really I don't even read this particular work I just got interested in the topic. I and many other users here do not use FB mostly because it takes too long to load or even click on something. Just letting my opinions out on the matter. Also don't forget to put the link to the scans as well in case it happens again
I think that the issue is more like the fact that they take the time out of their day translating this for free then sharing it in these types of site who gain money from pirated mangas which they didn’t even translate themselves. So basically, cheating the authors from gaining money for their hard earned work. Whereas if you read it from where the translators post it, you don’t give any of these guys money because they generally post it on free websites(?)
The weird part is that people think posting it somewhere else like blogs the owner who made those sites available won't get any revenue? Getting money from ads and donations not the only way to earn money you know. Just by using or visiting their sites will earn them something no matter where online. Because how do you think they can keep it running and keep the domain if everything is for free?
Even FB, Twitter, Instagram, Google, etc.etc. will earn thousands just for having people using their apps/web sites. And then people attracts people so more people will create accounts.
A friend offered me a work online by starting a page for booking management. There's no ads involved, but rather people visiting the site would earn you bits of money. I didn't took the job because I'd to pay initial cost. I don't think I gonna have lots of visits if I make my own site to be able to get some profit after earning my money back.
So even when a site doesn't show ads after login into your account, just by visiting will earn the admins money. And not just in manga sites, but blogs as well. Even if it's uploaded anywhere else of their choice it doesn't stop being a pirated version since they don't own the work themselves, only bought few copies.
We just share our work that's out of hobby out of the work from the authors without permission (or we don't wanna share, or only share to people of your choice). It's rare seeing translated work with the permission of the authors.
So the real reason is probably not only because this manga sites earns money, but also trying to hide of getting caught translating for us for free. (Any sites they uploading it in is also earning money out of their works too, but hidden and without ads)
Anyway we're all guilty of reading and uploading copyright goods. Lots of translators groups that I used to follow on FB unfortunately got banned or having all the Albums taken down. There where times that they can't even post the links, FB didn't allow most of the links. (And not only manga translators, but those who translate Anime/donhua having troubles too by having their channels taken down.)
100% agree. I support the authors if they are available in English, from the distributors and if u can’t find it there, on amazon. Lezhin, SuBLime, Juné Manga, Renta! are just a few of the places I purchase from. But the thing is, I usually see it here on Mangago first. But sometimes it’s not possible to support the author. Example: Koisuru Boukun, or in English, The Tyrant Falls in Love. Go to Juné and they are all almost sold out of all titles. Go to amazon and you will see used copies for almost $100 each sold out title. I have 4 of them that were available on Juné and now I wait. And wait and wait and wait. I saw it here on Mangago totally fell in love, then was blocked by supply issues from supporting the author. Doesn’t change I am reading illegal translations here, but it’s not like I wouldn’t support if I could.
I understand it a little better now. Thanks. I didn’t even realise that people actually used Facebook as their main site to post their translations. It’s a bit of an awkward site to read in lol.
I also thought one of the reason is trying to avoid the authors but I’ve always thought that ads were the bigger issue. But then again being found out can get people sued
It sucks that some of them don’t actually have English translations, we’re missing out on some quite good ones. I’d like to buy physical copies of a manga because reading it feels so satisfying compared to reading online. I’ve always wanted to buy His Favourite but if my parents find out I’m into this, I’d definitely get murdered ╥﹏╥ however, I am starting off with One Piece and hoping the best for my future purchases. I’ll earn enough money once I actually leave school ╥﹏╥
GoMiracles doesn’t release on manga sites, they are pissed right now someone did, and deleted the files location. Their likely won’t be further releases here.
