I really wish I could like this story since it seems it grows sweet later on, but for right now, I am uncomfortable.

Daewon is homophobic, and there's nothing right about that. But that doesn't mean that his opinions and feelings shouldn't be respected, especially since this is a bl manhwa and we all know he's going to end up with a guy, the fun part is the character development. He might be a homophobic bastard but he's a person, too. I hated how that chibi hyung is trying to hold him to a contract he signed while drunk, that he didn't even remember signing because he was that drunk. They shouldn't have let him sign it while drunk, it shouldn't even be valid. Do you know who gets people to sign things while they're under the influence? Scammers. This poor kid got scammed. It is not okay to make someone do something they don't want to do, that they are completely uncomfortable with, even if it furthers the plot. Far from disliking his attitude, I feel sorry for him.

Then, the other MC. At the moment, I don't even like the bi guy, and I'm onyl up to ch 3 because he's making the other guy uncomfortable and that is not romantic. I get that it changes later, but there's apparently some sexual harrassment going on there, with the bi guy making advances and Daewon not liking it, saying no, but still the other guy doesn't stop. Now this is a pretty common trope in yaoi, but maybe because I've seen some great stuff recently where it's all consenting and even when it's a guy who starts off as straight ending up with another man, there's consent all over the place, and apologies if boundaries are crossed. So I really hate to go back to the old stuff where you just skim over the rapey stuff for the story.

The story is fine, except I wouldn't mind some parts getting switched around: the uke shows he's homophobic, the thing with his house happens, he has no other choice, so he sucks it up. the bi guy offers to house him for a while with the rule that he won't try to hit on him or make him uncomfortable, the chibi hyung gives him the bl job and he signs the damn contract sober because it's work and he was in desperate need of money. You can just as easily develop a relationship from this without it feeling forced. even if he had no other choice, it's still his choice to make, especially since in the manhwa, the reason he couldn't move back in with his parents was because he'd already signed the contract for the bl VA (while drunk.)

I'll probably continue with this if I can't find something else to read, but for now, I just got off a really sweet somewhat long bl series that I wouldn't mind seeing more of. It was both cute and sexy, and I really want to find something where there is no jerky behavior.

Could you link some of those with consent all over the place?

Where to even start? there's so many, but these are some of my favorites
    webtoons
shounen ai: Dasadanan, star x fanboy, unriped expression, cherry blossoms after winter, at the end of the road (slightly dark), voice of love, my darling signed in
yaoi: alice in adultland, sign, following namsoo to the bathroom, ice man (short)

    manga
shounen ai: sasaki to miyano, slow starter, seven days and i can hear the sunspot (both with bl movie)
yaoi: Honto yajuu (pretty much everything by yamamoto kotetsuko), Arashi no ato, Elektel Delusion, Usagi otoko tora otoko, blue sky complex, fushidara na hanatsumi otoko, sofure buka!, koicha no osahou, yume wo miru hima mo nai, sono koi ni wa wake ga aru

    mangaka
    yamamoto kotetsuko
morimoto shuu (mostly shounen ai, but pretty art)
    naono bohra
    ichikawa kei

You might have read some of them, but these are some of my favorites, some that I read ages ago and still remember just off the top of my head. I have plenty of folders with the different mangas and manhwas I've read but it would take way too long to go through them all. All relationships are consenting, in some it's the uke that makes the first move, which is pretty rare, the shounen ai ones have cute relationships. From what I remember of them there was no forcefulness from anyone, total consent in the relationships where the two actually talk, very healthy relationships. It has been a while so something might have slipped through (I know for sure at the end of the road has a consenting relationship where the guys fall for each other, but one of the guys does start off forceful) but I loved these.

Forgot to add these. They're also very sweet, i think all three are yaoi: koi to no dogfight, eyes on me, Taberarechaukei danshi.

So, just a heads up. Taberarechaukei Danshi has two stories, the second one is from ch4-6, and it's another terrible story with no consent and blackmail. If you do read that one, remember to only read the first three chaps. I was so happy to see it updated but the second story is trash.

Yes, these were my thoughts exactly. He may be a homophobe, but it was horrible the way his opinions, and rights, were violated and outright ignored. I'd quit working for a boss that waits until I'm drunk to get me to sign something I so obviously did not want to do, and sue his ass. Pretty sure, even in Korea, it's still illegal.
