So, I realized I didn't read chapter 36 yet. I read that, and I read chapter 37 three days ago. I even looked through the past chapters building up to that emotional lovemaking scene. I just had this feeling like the characters aren't living contently. There's this empty feeling to it.
We know Yashiro continues to have sex, but it's to get information. And Doumeki has not engaged with another person these past four years. Yashiro and Misumi didn't even have sex, which is a contrast to their past where that was casual.
I don't know if Yashiro is living with a purpose either... He changes headquarters twice a year. Yes, it's to avoid getting into trouble with the police regarding his casino and any potential enemies from his past, but I think overall, Yashiro is running away. He's not facing his own feelings. We know Yashiro no longer has a crush on Kageyama, but he and Doumeki did not end through a transparent conversation either. Yashiro left Doumeki, and Doumeki being the stubborn person he is, -I think- continues to seek his former boss.
I just don't know what Yashiro's goal is?? The first 35 chapters was a long prologue to me, and now we're here seeing the characters find their way back to each other. I want Doumeki and Yashiro to have a healthy relationship by then.
I don't know what to look forward to anymore, besides Doumeki and Yashiro's reunion which we don't know when that would happen.
