It's hard. This chapter made me cry so much. My dad was the father that ignores everything. when my older brother came out, my mom and me were very supportive. My aunt was afraid for him, like he will get some "bad" men that will take advantage of him. My dad just acted like he wasn't there when my brother came out.
I feel for your brother .I feel like this is how my parents will react, that's why i was so scared to come out.I'm glad he got you and your mother to support him.

maybe test your family's reaction to certain situations. They might be ok with it. idk how a person coming out feels like. But I can sympathize. hang in there!
Saying that "it was just a phase, you're still young. Sorry for neglecting you, that why you turned out like this" is hurt as much as rejection when you're coming out,at least for me. They're treating me like this broken object that needs fixing. This is why i was so scared of coming out.
