i like the main character, he's not the average one.
So you want the typical boring i'll save everyone type main character, no thanks he's so much awesome this way.

the story isn't going anywhere if he's still like that
in a sense he is more human than anyone else, he is back to basic logic of survival and goals. emotions we have suppressed to appear "human"
His only wish is to live in peace for a hardcore unfeeling and cold character, I feel that he is quite nice ^^

he has t, he has to be selfish and self-centered if he wants to live peacefully, though right now he's living with temporary peace and ignorance of his own problems...
I think it's normal, he's a human not a superhero with a duty to save everyone, he didn't even asked or wanted to be like that
in fact I still like him even though currently he's an ignorant
