As part of a senior party thing in high school, they brought in a hypnotist. A group of people participated in it, and my friend was one of them. He ended up not getting hypnotized and had to pretend, because it was as part of a group, but he himself said it could’ve been because he was too uncomfortable to be hypnotized because the hypnotist made him take off his jacket, which he wore literally every single day for all four years. I’d never seen him without the jacket before that moment.
it's definitely because of the jacket, hypnosis is real but it works very differently in real life compared to books. i'm not super familiar with stage hypnosis specifically bit generally you need to almost let yourself be hypnotised? it's something you have to want to happen for it to really work and even then depending on how easily you as an individual can relax it can take a lot of practice to be able to go under. i can attest though that once you do manage it it feels amazing so i recommend trying it if you get the chance! mostly this comes from me using youtube hypnosis videos though soo T^T
Does Hypnosis actually work irl? I've seen it work in books and such but never experienced it in real life.....
