I remember I read a webtoon/manhua way back and I hate that I didn't think of listing it.
It's about these 2 guys, teenagers, both in highschool I believe, one of them (A) is deaf/mute, has an abusive mom I think, while (B) the other guy helps him to get out of his situation.
Pretty sure (B) asked his father to help get (A)'s abusive mom caught in the act or arrested.
The ending was definitely good. I'm glad (A) ended up staying with (B) and (B)'s family.
