I keep having the feeling that in the end after he finally get acknowledge as a guide god. He eventually has to let her go to university and will promise to wait for her return until she's ready to stay by his side forever. In the meantime he's gonna do his best at work until the last page we get to see: "I'm back" with big smile on her face...The end. (Well that was usually the case with other manga that I read)
