In this "piece of art" here, however, the creator makes fun of supposed ethnic characteristics. This is in the same shabby category as the Jew with the hook nose, red colored indigenous people or Asians who are depicted with yellow skin and slit eyes. This is just as disgusting and would be proclaimed by me as racism or, in that one case, anti-semitism.

Oh usopps character design is racist but it's made up by the fact that later on there haven't been any new caricatures, and usopp has seen some great character development.

It is garingly obvious that the author has intentionally been racist when writing this. Most people didn't realise that the floating underwear were people because this webtoon is not only racist but also barely written and cropped. The way every black character with dark hair is drawn as ugly while the one person with lighter skin color and white hair looks sexy is racist, arguing against this is pointless.

Even though the author was intentionally racist, the real problem is ofc that the author thought this was alright. This webtoon is not satire that makes fun of racist people (if it is, that's on the translators for in that case making a bad translation) and it makes fun of African tribes instead of looking at them objectively (lol they're dumb lol they're ugly). This, the author seems to think, is ok, and idk it might be in China, but it's not ok in the west.

Why you feel the need to defend this belief system is beyond me, but no matter how laughinducingly ridiculously racist this webtoon is, it's not ok in the Western society. And it shouldn't be ok in the east either.

And btw, if it was reversed roles it would still be racist.

so and for the 'ugly' black men. it a simple handling in mangas- the maincharas are hot and side dishes are often uglier drawn. so you can draw people wiht wihte skin ugly but not black people bec its racism? btw. the uke typ was only sexy when he was alone in the panel. did you looked in other scenes? he was there drawn ugly/funny as well bec. it was more like a cartoon, more like a caricature. and I also saw nothing about beeing dump. and even if- the story is about a 'primitive people, first people, ancient folk', its kinda clear that those people didnt go to school- this has nothing to do with the color of their skin but bec. its about 'primitive people, first people, ancient folk'..... we still have some on the world, guess the most are still in africa, but there are other folks/tribes as well (indonesia, ausralia and who know where else) but this one is just about africa.
