Not gonna say it was trash cause I was hooked throughout the whole thing, but I hated how Kou practically ended up being a victim when Ao had every reason to act like he did. Kou proved him right by wavering like that and cheating on him with Mikuni several times.
I also hate how, in the end, it seemed like Kou chose Ao just out of pity and guilt. I'm sure he likes him and loves him almost like family, but he didn't seem to properly love him as a partner, he didn't even fight for him ffs. He just assumed he was a poor little confused thing and ignored how much he has hurt Ao over the years with his cheating bs. He was literally telling Mikuni that he loved him, but couldn't abandon Ao after all those years minutes before Ao showed up to look for him.
It should have been the other way around to be at least satisfying. Kou should have realized that Ao was scared of losing him and being insecure because Kou cheated on him sm and because he knew he would fall for Mikuni. He should have realized that and proved him wrong by rejecting Mikuni properly and going after Ao to reassure him.
