I was thinking so too. The baseball player and the star were like Ghost and Cairn, and the man with holes and the doctor were like Rutile and Padparadsha. The delicate one was definitely meant to be one of the representations of Phos, and the shipwreck one could have been Cinna and Alex. Just hunches tho.
Some of the characters from here really remind me of the gems and the lunarians from houseki no kuni. Maybe this was their life before the humans split apart ???
