I agree that it was wrong and lee defonitey didnt deserve any of it, but many people seem to forget the mental trauma caused by young. When sunny was questioning why everyone leaves, it was very clear from flashbacks that young would threaten his partners and closest friends and make them so scared to the point that they would give up on sunny.
Sadly, many people forget this amd automatically assume sunny is a terrible person when in reality the root cause was because of young and his manipulation of sunny. Just looking at his hesitance to even leave and reject young displays how deeply young influenced and scarred sunny which is what ultimately led to lee's mistreatment. It always bugs me how people dont understand and often disregard the symptoms of emotional abuse and manipulation and just automatically assume hes overall a terrible person.

It’s not like I didn’t take that into consideration but that to me still doesn’t excuse his behaviour. I know plenty of people who’ve been through mental trauma and don’t treat people like shit. Obviously everyone handles things differently but if you start to hurt others because of that mental trauma then you need to go get help from a professional(a therapist). Would you excuse a pedophile for their behaviour just because they went through the same thing when they were kids? No because their actions aren’t justified. One thing I can say though is that you can empathise with them but not sympathise. But that’s just my opinion. I Personally can’t feel empathetic towards Sunny at all but most people probably could. I just can’t stand people who treat others like shit, wether they’ve been through trauma or not doesn’t matter, if it’s that bad then get professional help instead of hurting others
I don't know if I read it wrong but did you just compare a mental trauma with a mental disorder ? These are not the same, at least to me. You can't just dismiss all the manipulation and gaslight he suffered from and compare it to pedophilia.
I said mental trauma not mental disorder. I used pedophiles as an example because a lot of the time they go through mental trauma as kids. And I didn’t dismiss it because I said that most people would be able to emphasise with sunny and understand why he did what he did but what I’m saying is that it’s still not justified
Personally I didn’t like sunny at all as a character. I’ve read a couple of webtoons and this has to be by far one of the hardest ones ive had to sit through(along with a guy like you lol) Sunny is what made it so hard for me. He started off decent but as the series went on and we got to know more about him, my dislike of Sunny just grew. Tbh I was actually really happy when Lee finally came to his senses and decided that keeping his distance For a while was for the best. I hate the whole concept of revenge but in this case of “taste of your own medicine” felt just right with me. Sunny finally got a taste of how Lee was feeling throughout the whole time they were seeing each other. Sunny was so selfish and inconsiderate towards lee. He always left him hanging.. feeling uncertain. Even though he knew how Lee felt he still wasn’t clear about his intentions which confused Lee to the point that it made him anxious. All this uncertainty lead Lee to think that he was only been used and tbh it felt just like that to me. The fact that sunny ran back to Lee every time he had an issue going on just to have sex with him doesn’t sit right with me. That’s taking advantage of people’s feelings and it really did infuriate me. One bit that seriously stuck to me was when he questioned why people he cared about always leave him. Why would anyone want to stick around when they’re treated like they’re a comforting sex doll.
Anyways that’s my rant done. I just had to let it out because I felt really frustrated after catching up with the series ^_^”
