The Hate on Caitel is Undeserved (Especially Ariadna's)

Throughout the webtoon, there's the underlying plotline where Ariadna's always like-- "Oh gosh, my dad sucks and is a horrible person. I mean, he's a murderer! But I still love him!"
But I feel that this is completely unrealistic. I mean, I feel as though every king has killed. Even if they don't do so personally, their every order and policy implemented will inevitably harm some and help others. Moreover, to be a good emperor, one must be able to make ruthless decisions and weigh lives in order to maximize happiness for his/her people. For example, if an emperor that's benevolent to everyone, (including his or her enemies), may be good person, but would also thus be a bad leader.

In addition, everyone says that since the land has come under Caitel's rule, the land has become more peaceful and the lives of the common citizens are happier. Now, this may be a controversial view, but I believe that a government's highest obligation is to protect the lives of its citizens. That's literally the why governments were originally formed. Therefore, no matter how many foreign soldiers have been slaughtered, it doesn't matter as long as the slaughter of those people benefited the lives of the people in Agrigent-- which it obviously did. Therefore, I would also say that Caitel may have done harm, but the end results of his actions more than made up for those harms. I honestly see Caitel as a anti-hero type of figure. Because, when looking at the consequences of his actions, we can clearly see that Caitel has done more good than bad, even if it was not intentional.

As a result, it just kinda annoys me when Ariadna constantly hates on Caitel, because I honestly feel as though he deserves a large amount of respect. He's kinda like Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Napoleon, or any of the other great Conquerors. And unlike most of those figures, all of his conquests succeeded and he actually managed to establish a better kingdom.

Sorry for this rant, I just needed to get this off my chest. LMAO.
