Recessive vs Dominant Genes on ABO

Sol January 4, 2020 4:05 pm

So I've been wondering awhile now. Can someone tell me how does being either recessive or dominant in either a or o affect them? I've seen 2 manga so far mentioning them but never talk about how the people are affected. Like Love Is An Illusion.

I can't remember what the situation was in LIAL but it was an issue for the ML family?

Just want to understand more since Omegaverse never really mentioned them at least for the ones I've read besides 2.

Based off of research, not 100% sure if this is accurate, being a dominant or recessive alpha/omega depends on what sub-gender your parents are. For example in the case of alphas it could be an alpha + an alpha = a dominant alpha anything else would result in a recessive alpha same rule applies with an omega. I want to assume that if you're a dominant alpha you have a access to the full capability of an alpha for example being able to release your pheromones whenever wherever or being able to overwhelm someone with your pheromones like how the seme in Love is an illusion did in earlier chapters. I assume that being a dominant omega would mean you're more fertile and your pheromones are stronger and smell sweeter.

This is pure theory but if you relate omegaverse in terms of biology

Dominant alpha: individual has BOTH alpha genes present
Recessive alpha: individual has ONLY ONE alpha gene present

Beta: Do not have alpha nor omega genes

Dominant omega: individual has BOTH omega genes present
Recessive omega: individual has ONLY ONE omega gene present

Recessive alphas and omegas are closer to betas than pure alphas/omegas

Dominant alpha means that you are the best of the best as you inherit all the traits of a pure alpha

Dominant omega means that you are the lowest of the low as you inherit all the traits of a pure omega

I see. Thank you both for explaining. I have a clearer understanding now.
