Saw another version of this, all in blue ink. Not sure if it was originally like this, but oh my was it gorgeous. (Think of how her chocolate manga is all in brown ink, totally elevates the visual story telling and atmosphere), This manga got me hooked on Japanese dyeing processes and fabric work, and it would be lovely translated into an anime with all the "surrealist" aspects.
