i also read the novel (mostly lol) and i agree with you, the only thing i believe the prince did VERY wrong was give her the "rose", understandably it was so she wouldn't get away but he did it without her consent. he also tried to impregnate her, what if she was a married woman? It was very risky and a not so gentlemanly thing to do.

I was actually a pure white lotus before you met me, those are just rumors! like most stories like this go but...because he found a girl who didnt act like a dead fish while doing it, he goes and puts that flower mark thingy on her? Not only did he completely ignore her wishes, which is bad enough, he went against his duty to the king, the people, and the country. All for what, one pleasurable night? So much for commitment, huh?
I mean, he sleeps around for "duty", but then goes against it because he finally enjoyed his "duty" for the first time...?
He could have just gotten a prostitute from the nearest brothel. Their jobs are literally to pleasure men. I bet theyd know more than those "delicate flowers" he sleeps with....not to mention, hed be doing them a favour by taking them out of that hell hole. And all the honours and riches that come with it, too. its a win-win situation.

The Prince have a special circumstances where his desire is 'highy active'. If it's only this then he can relieve himself or ignore it. But as his magic grows by, his desire also grows with it and if not 'relieved' he will lose control of his magic that needs full control of himself which can lead to undesirable effect such as attacking people randomly or attacking himself. It's more bad because he often go to war and as the leader, he really doesn't want to attack his own subordinate.
Before he sleeps with women, he was really desperate to the point of using all his stamina in combat everyday but this method is not long-lasting. Actually if possible, he really wanted to avoid sleeping with women because he doesn't really have any 'tender feeling's or affection towards women. And he also despise the unspoken rule where 'if having sex, women should not move at all and just lay there and let the man just thrust it in'. The prince thought this kind of unspoken rule is laughable, you meant he should have sex with a block of wood(?). Just imagining it already turned him off in many different ways.
But unfortunately as a prince, he have his duties to the country which is one of them is going to war. His magic is crucial in war and soldiers without a leader is basically 'headless chickens'. Through some persuasion and reminder by his friend and subordinate. He sleeps around with people like it was his job. He is really not liking it everytime he sleeps with people that he doesn't even have any feeling for. Originally he doesn't like women and now he became disinclined to even touch them.
He was never in the mood, never enthusiastic, no enjoyment, truly treating this as his official duty and occupation. He was sick of it and almost going crazy. Truly defines the meaning 'sacrifice for the country' to the fullest.
That's why when he met MC who doesn't know these 'rules'. He was like a man in the dessert that have found an oasis, his spring of life, the truly first time he feels enjoyment from having sex from this suffering monotone life.
Everything from MC gestures, her way of talking, her aura, her expression, her looks just fits so well in his heart and he knew he want this woman to be his wife which meant taking her as his queen even if he have opposition from his so called fiance or even his father the king (the prince has never want to marry his fiance to the point of not even ever seeing her face even once that's why he doesn't know that MC is actually his fiancee and he was prepared to face all the storms that come to his way)
That's why the prince has never ever been sleeping around for fun and he actually hate it :)
