rape in yaoi are fictional,the scenes are fictional,the script,the emotion,the reaction its too unrealistic thats why I cant take it seriously.There are few authors in yaoi world who can portray real rape situation and most of the time their works have a dark theme on it and theyre not trying to romanticise it.
I feel very neutral about it, but I dislike the very cliche "seme rapes uke, uke falls in love with seme" trope.
Outside of yaoi, rape is "normalized" in all forms of erotica. It's cheap but sells so it's understandably common.
Personally not a huge fan of rape to love manga but I do enjoy torture porn so rape is inevitable.
So what do you guys think about the normalization of raping in the genre of yaoi? I don't personally enjoy when the seme rapes the uke and then eventually they fall in love with each other, but I would like to know people's opinions on the matter.
