I think in an omega verse story I read, the omegas would wear chokers on their neck so the alpha would have to take the choker off before biting them, causing the omega to have time to get away

but remember that they are children so resisting the alfa would be futile, a big man vs a child.. he could just grab/restrain his arms, legs or whatever and get off the choker,
and I think relying solely on chokers is a bit futile bc there would be 100% of breaking a choker in a world where chokers is essential for omegas to not get bitten when they didnt take the pills or similar.

From what I have read chokers are for when their heats comes and an alpha tries to bite, but for someone like a pedo, he would be prepared for that situation, using special materials to break the choker

I mean.. now a days there is someone you can contact bc you lost your keys or because you locked yourself out of your house I bet there would be the same thing in omegaverse, what if you lost the key to your choker, what if you grew too much and the choker is too tight, what if you are allergic to the material, there would be a tool or someone experienced in taking it off

Now I remembered some stories (fanfiction novels) where these omegas were sold but it isn't too detailed, it just states that this like teenager got kidnapped or sold when he was a child and got saved by like the main protag but he didn't leave unscathed. Scarred for life, traumatized. Those were some heavy reads I've ever come across.

Anyway from what I've seen in omegaverse they don't even know their gender at the time of birth, but only sometime around middle school (you often see they get the result of their tests around then). So I'm pretty sure they haven't developed yet and what you said can't happen
