why do people hate the donghua and the live action? i love both - people don’t realise that the creators behind both these things put so much effort into their work. i do prefer the donghua tho, it just hits differently

Dude I just watched all of it. It's amazing the art is beautiful the action scenes are badass and WuXian and WangJi look so freaking cool. I thought they stayed very faithful to the general gist of the novel. I am a fan. I'll probably watch it again even if they did kill most of the bl aspects you can see a little bit of it if you pay attention

yess like damn, episode 15 when Wuxian just ‘comes back from the dead’ after 3 months and annihilates the Wen clan.. hot lol. yeah i’m glad they didn’t change it too much, and yes i could spot the BL aspects but i really wished it wasn’t just gay subtext. i hate censorship laws agh

I hate those too but I could still see some bl subtext I mean it's just a little bit but it just depends on what happens in the next season bc if it was in the novel it's just starting to get somewhere with them honestly I was just excited to see how cool WuXian looks all badass and stuff. That and the fight scenes alone made the show worth it

i am so excited for august to come around, we really need season 3! it was a little bit true, the intense gay staring and hints were fun and cute. the novel is definitely more explicit - i haven’t read it but i’ve come across full on smut scenes and it just made me think *lol no manhua, donghua or live action would have included those*
