oh god,the last line in the sequel of ayashi no ceres was just too much..
"After taking a long glance at his loved ones, Tooya closed his eyes and listened to the soothing sounds of the ocean…"

I almost cried but when I reread the secong to the last line of the sequel:

"Tsukasa Shuro’s ballad echoed through the room. Aya looked out the window. Summer was coming. The ocean was sparkling in the sunlight. Aya glanced at her wedding ring. Then she smiled. Her smile shone beautifully, like a Tennyo’s…"

so if we read the last lines of the sequels:

"Tsukasa Shuro’s ballad echoed through the room. Aya looked out the window. Summer was coming. The ocean was sparkling in the sunlight. Aya glanced at her wedding ring. Then she smiled. Her smile shone beautifully, like a Tennyo’s…

it might be implying that the couple are just reminiscing the past and treasuring the present (because I basically don't want Touya to die,so I'm thinking that this is also a possible message of the conclusion )

buuuuuuuuuuuut (yes,I'm not done yet :3) ------ if we also conclude the talk between Aya and Miku(Aya and Touya's Eldest Child) which goes like this :

"Hey, Miku? Do you know about the ‘future’?"

"Fu…ture?"

"That’s right. That’s something that we create for ourselves with our loved ones."

"Ohhh… Is the future… beautiful…?"

"Yes, it is. It’s more beautiful than anywhere else in the world."

Aya softly stroked her five-year-old daughter’s silky hair as her son slept on her lap.

"Miku… Your name is the future…"

it might be implying that the couple are reminiscing the past,thinking that the present they have right now is really precious and that they(Aya and Touya) are leaving the future to Miku...Then after thinking of everything that has happened,sad and good memories...Aya let out her last and most beautiful smile,followed by Touya who closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of the ocean one last time... (hahaha I prefer this one,where they both died at the end.. :3 they both died but the ending was not really tearful and somehow a happy and peaceful ending for the two XDD)
