I've reread this manga a few times because it's incredible and poignant. But I'd never seen that last extra with the cake. I understood reading the main story why nishimiya's mom was the way she was. But the extra really shows how much she pushed both herself and her daughters. Her laughing at the taste and realizing that she can finally relax... Gosh it makes me wanna cry at that intense relief she must finally feel. Poor woman.
