"If taku's feelings for haesoo were genuine he would have man up and told joowon that he will not hurt haesoo and that the rumors going around about him are untrue."
YESYESYES and he should have done it in the dinner, while everything was not this messy tbh. I mean they brought up about it, and if he's really a man, he should have at least cleared the rumour about him.
But he is right though, about Joowon needing to decide what he wants to be for Haesoo. I do agree with what you said about Taku and it actually gave me another idea. What if he is actually team Haesoo and Joowon? He read Haesoo's story before. He has an idea about the two's struggle. It seems he is purposely provoking Joowon to make him finally cement his relationship with Haesoo. Or that he is provoking Joowon for a fair fight over Haesoo.
Again, not saying Taku is nice or an angel, as he was being a dick over the call, but I also agree about what he said to Joowon.
I don't agree with what he said about joowon bcs haesoo and joowon never saw each other and never treated each other like that. They never put the label that they're each other's brothers. Thats only when others say it bcs they dont know the real relationship these two had so they had to just go with it. But its was clear that they had feelings for each other and slept with each other. So how can joowon be the brother. I mean taku also read about their story so why does he even ask that he knows these two never saw each other as brothers.
Think about it. They met when they were in late teens. By law were brothers about 3 years. By psychological sense they were never brothers. They didn't grow up together. Not long after they met each other they started sleeping together.
But still society and their married then parents were and would be against it.
Then they are brothers, nonetheless. I've made a post of this before. Joowon and Haesoo technically are not wrong with their relationship. They are not blood related or anything. So what's keeping them to just make things official? It's because they are brothers by law, and even if their parents divorced, in their heads they still are. That familial bond is an imaginary barrier for them to just be out and about as lovers. They are made to think and treat their feelings as taboo when technically they're not.
Until they face it head on and just come out to their parents, only then they would be able to break the idea about being a taboo and being so secretive. They don't mind coming out as gay I believe, Joowon doesn't really care about his career if Haesoo is involved and Haesoo is not covert about his sexuality. The public knowing isn't really a big deal, they don't even have to publicly be lovers. But breaking that familial bond is so hard for them.
Exactly. They shouldn't have any problems, really. Lol. They are not legally brothers anymore. But the idea is still there. Probably because people associate them together as step brothers whose parents divorced. Then the parents, the Dad in particular, saying he wants to get back together makes matters worse.
It's one of things Haesoo is worried about. In exchange for standing up for their relationship, they would have to completely severe their ties with their parents, if they cannot accept it. They would give up their parents, among other things.
On the mother, yes she's disgusted but because no one is really challenging her idea, she keeps on thinking that it is. There's a possibility that she might change her perspective when the idea is challenged (i.e. Joowon and Haesoo come out to both of them).
On the dad, he seems like a nice guy but who knows.
On Haesoo dreaming of Joowon married to a woman. Haesoo doesn't mind being gay per se. I mean he is not hiding it. He's had affairs with others beside Joowon, right? I recall in the earlier chapters. Haesoo could be thinking a normal life for Joowon because he is in the limelight, while Haesoo is a normal guy. But he is done hiding in the pretense of good-step-brothers-even-after-divorce-but-is-lovers. I don't think he means that they should be public about their relationship but not be brothers to the Dad and be clear with the Mom.
I'm not so sure about Haesoo wanting to come out about their relationship to their parents. It would most likely destroy his bond with his mother. But who knows.
Tbh it rubbed me in the wrong way...because we don't even know if Joowon is bi. One gf was mentioned... But once again who knows.
Also the whole narrative that that would be good (better?) option for Joowon is also naive and unfair. Maybe it would make Joowon's life easier...but easier doesn't equal being happy.
Haesoo sure is scared. He would rather have the whole affair end than do the other option, to come out to them. But I don't think it's that hard to convince him if Joowon proposes the idea. He's just fed up being in the middle, gray area. It's either a yes or a no, and he's not going to propose yes.
Well it's one of Haesoo's flaws. He keeps swimming in his own thoughts and get drowned in them.
We'll get there eventually. It's just whether he'll initiate or Joowon will sort of force or convince him or Taku will be an effective plot device.
I think the author would be grinding this plot a bit longer, it's frustrating for us readers that these two are not setting their foot down and I guess that sells. Lol.

If taku's feelings for haesoo were genuine he would have man up and told joowon that he will not hurt haesoo and that the rumors going around about him are untrue. But the way taku dodged everything and instead said haesoo is with him eventho they're not even together and haesoo did not even gave him an answer yet and even he unnecessarily provoked joowon shows thats its clear as day that taku is not the man for haesoo. And he needs to stop playing this stupid game. Everything taku has done will bite him in the ass one day. He came out of nowhere to mess with haesoo and joowon's life and even wants to push joowon away who has been in haesoo's life for ten years. At least joowon has some right to question things bcs he is haesoo's hyung. But who is taku? Just a guy haesoo fucked and he was only used to fill the emptiness. He has no place in haesoo's life. So he has no right to demand shit like he owns haesoo. All of taku's real motives will be revealed soon and haesoo will cut ties with him. Taku's time of playing innocent angel in front of haesoo will come to an end. Its time everyone sees his true colors.
