Oh finally!! finally!! someone think like this other than me. Whenever i see mangas with this kind of plot or mc(mostly seme, present in other genres too not just yaoi) and see people be like "omg he is so hot! What a badboy!", i'm always like "bitch! What badboy? That is TRASH!!". There is a difference between a badboy and a trash.

I'M NOT OVER IT. EVERY.DAMN.TIME. Okay I'm so done with this community I've been reading yaoi for about 2/3 years now and about halfway in I realized just how incompatible I am with the people here in terms of being friends LET ALONE getting along
like in the beginning it was just "okay whatever" but now... oh my god.
Yeah that was my reaction too in the beginning, "okay whatever". But as the years go by, it is slowly making me cringe to the point that i can't ignore it anymore. I am trying to hold on and ignore but when you get fed up you get fed up lol, no matter how hard you try to ignore. Maybe that's why my interest is now leaning on MCs with strong personality. I don't neccessarily need a strong-strong mc, an mc strong enough not to get pushed around is good too.
My years of reading mangas, this is the types of people i encountered:
1. People who loves a good plot/characters regardless if it has a sex scene or not.
2. People who loves a good plot/characters but with some good amount of sex scene too.
3. People who don't care if the plot/characters are shitty as long as there's plenty of sex scene.
4. People with a shitty taste who loves shitty plot/characters regardless if there's a sex scene or not(mostly want sex scenes).

I was just reminded of this, nothing to do with badboy stuff but with sex stuff... I read this one novel in wattpad. It is a werewolf bxb kind of stuff. It started good but when the seme and uke met each other it suddenly turns to shit bs real quick.
The moment they met each other the plot went like this:
Cool we're mates >> let's go to my room and fuck >> tired then sleep >> wake up >> compliment each other/ whisper sweet nothings to each other/ talk about random things >> gets turned on and make out >> escalate to sex real quick >> gets tired again >> sleep >> repeat.
Seriously, that's not just one chapter..that's every chapter. After i read some chapters i stopped and thought to myself, "wait. When was the last time they got out of the room again? When did they eat food? Or go to the bathroom to pee or shit aside from taking a bath just to have sex after?" lol. There's not even a character development.

Guys i totally understand you. Omg like you said its totally hard finding people who hate this kind of set up and its hard talking about it in comments cuz it triggers people who doesnt understand. I fully agree with what you said about the seme. He could have not gone down the rape route but the methods he employed are enough to classify him a total jerk and asshole.
