They said they went to a middle eastern country on a vacation. ISIS is a group that exist in war torn countries. So why would the characters even go to a war torn country? Doesn't make any sense. The author even wrote that the kidnappers weren't terrorist they were just out there for money. Writing the kidnappers as Arab men wearing traditionally Arab clothes just furthers the stereotype that Arabs/Muslims are terrorists.#－.－) I mean you reach the conclusion that they were in an ISIS territory even tho the author didn't make mention of it.
