So I stopped taking this whole thing as a metaphor a while ago because there’s no way anything but tiny lessons in compassion and understanding and working to change society can apply to the real world since the carnivore/herbivore dynamic is too specific. But like my poor wolf dude suffers whiplash back and forth to be able to live with himself. He needs the strength of a wolf to survive trying to change the world but to be accepted in doing so, he has to rip out his teeth, starve himself, battle for his life, and subjugate himself to everyone’s misunderstandings of his ideals.
