I’m completely agree I was really frustrated when the uke was the only one in pain and the seme is just prancing around his friends and ignoring the Ukes feeling like he gave you PLENTY of hints friggen dense mf like you couldn’t even say something better than “its normal to feel that way” c’mon man(눈_눈)
Sorry I press dislike but I totally agree with you. And we don't even get some drama for rutta all I can see is kodama's pain.
But it was the perfect thing to say tho? Kodama was fretting because he didn't feel normal. He didn't like the person he felt was becoming. I've been there. And then a friend of mine told me that "of course I would feel that way" and somehow that made me feel better about feelings I wasn't sure I was supposed to have. And regarding "not seeing the signals" I think we have read enough yaoi to know that communication is key. Yeah, sure, you saw Kodama suffering. But did Rutta see that? It is mentioned time and again that their time together was very limited. And in that time Kodama always tried to seem okay. And even if he noticed something was off there was no way for Rutta to know what was it about.
Also, regarding "Kodama's loneliness", he has Hiromi as a friend. And given his background on moving too much, it's really no shocker he has not that many deep friendship. I'm sorry if this sounds rude but your analysis seems kinda biased or at least not seeing the entire picture. You are not taking into consideration the type of character Kodama is nor the situation.
Seme looks like he has SO many friends in my eyes, while the uke looks like he’s isolated and literally has only seme. But ,just so uke wont be alone the couple and that cat owner was added to make manga look better and cuter. Also it’s like uke’s parents look like they’re more happy about seme than uke to me.
When seme didn’t even realize uke was feeling lonely since he didn’t spend much time with him and having SO much fun with his life AND ignoring uke’s feelings just because he said it’s okay while uke was only thinking about making seme happy. when uke FINALLY told him his feelings, seme casually said “it’s normal to feel that way” and took his feelings veeeeery lightly, spend more time with him and even WENT somewhere for the sake of uke rejecting a girl to make seme more happy. It should be fine because i only wanna see uke being happy, i’m extremely not satisfied tho. In my opinion, it’s like seme is the better(but still selfish) version of Jiang Wenxu from 10 years where i loved you the most. But also uke is somewhat similar to Zhishu, loneliness wise i mean. in other words; the manga is like that webtoon without cheating and Sad stuff. I tell you that’s the only thing that’s making me so frustrated about this manga(sorry, i was deeply shocked, wounded and scarred). but i really enjoyed the story (づ￣ ³￣)づ sorry to say so much. I really love this manga. I just wanted to complain a little bc i’m still pain.
