True. I guess the "wolf fur" Prince doesn't mean it romantically. He sees her as his reason to live, which is problematic in it's own right, but at least it seems to be platonic. He seems happy just to know that she is fine and that she still remembers him.
I think these kinda stories can get very weird, although it really depends. I'm pretty sure though that I've been desensitized from all the stuff I've read. I accept gray areas more easily, and this is one of them. Since you asked in general, I won't go into the specifics of this novel either. I'll be talking about stories where the MC is already quite a bit older (yet still not adult age) cause this seems to be an unusual case where the MC is young AF.
Although in these stories, the protagonists have premature bodies, their psyches are those of adults. And I think that's what matters most. When a(n older) character falls for an MC like that, it's not because of their body. It's because of their actions influenced by their mature mind that touches said character's heart. They're falling for the adult inside a body that happens to not be mature yet. If in said cases, the MC told said character they're actually an adult, it'd make this even less of an issue. Then said character would know they're not actually into some child and I reckon it'd make it more acceptable for them.
If it's just feelings - given they actually act mature rather than camouflaging as a child - then I'd say 100% ok. If it's skinship or more intimate stuff, I'd say it's ok as long as the MC's partner is aware they're an adult inside, pretty much no matter their age. If not, this is seriously crossing into pedo territory xD.
Lol it may sound kinda weird but yeah, I think it makes a hell of a difference whether the partner thinks of the MC as an actual (yet possibly mature or wise beyond their years) child or if they know they're an adult.
With all these rebirth stories especially like this one where the child actually have mentality of adult.. should it be ok for them to like/love someone if it’s just the feelings? Like they are old enough to make their own judgement right...? But that is without any excessive skin ship until their body is grown up or else that’s just gross..
