They actually discuss the blackmail later on after a big fight. Tatsumi/Senpai tells Morinaga that he only allows him to do things because it's him. He tells him that even if anyone else tried to blackmail him it would never work and he would beat them to a pulp. The blackmail is the excuse that allows Senpai to accept Morinaga while still maintaining he is straight. It's very common for men who grow up in strict cultures to have a lot of self hate when they feel things for another man. They have to make excuses so they can allow themselves to be with men. Some drink, some put themselves in situations they know lead to sex, some only top with the idea that as long as they are not receiving it's not gay because even women can have anal sex or give blowjobs. People miss that about this manga. They see the non-consensual moments in the beginning and they assume there is a stockholm issue or that it's blackmail. Honestly I feel like the author has a more honest portrayal of how someone that is struggling with the idea they aren't straight handles things. Not every gay man just accepts they are gay and the self hate and struggle is a very real part of their lives.
