Yeah, I don't get all the hate some readers have towards a main character. My guess is they see Kyuu's statement to be out of guilt (so "reasonable"), while Haru's is carelessness/recklessness.
But they seem to forget that it is an important part of Haru's character is that she has grown up always being looked at as an adorable little bunny, and along with that, prey. Possibly being eaten (literally or metaphorically) has always been reality for her. She looks at it much more casually than even another herbivore in her world.
Ok... looking back through the comments I have also called Haru stupid, lol... To me, "stupid" meant careless. She had no clue the state Legosi she would be in, but she trusts him so to her it doesn't matter. That recklessness is a key part of her character! It will likely be part of her growth later to stop looking at herself as "prey" and just as herself, or that she is strong in her own way
So it's okay for Kyuu to want Legoshi to eat her and no one talks about that, only complimenting her for her body and fighting skills, but Haru says that and she is a suicidal stupid bunny and to die already. WOW, some people man. Just because she has a different backstory to the normality of the world of anime doesn't mean people should invalidate her as a character.
