the difference between joowon accepting that he is "out of the picture" and him telling haesoo he will always be there for him, as a friend as a hyung he is haesoo's. vs taku manipulating haesoo into stepping in a relationship with him by saying "if you care abt me even a little kiss me" i think these two particular scenes show who actually has good intentions and who cares abt haesoo. Taku doesn't give haesoo space and manipulates his way into making haesoo come to him, but joowon despite how much haesoo broke his heart he never asked haesoo to go back to him or force him to make a choice he respected him by also not contacting haesoo at all to give him space. taku may read a guide how to get to know haesoo. But joowon was always beside haesoo. For ten years. Not even taku's manipulation will be enough to break a ten year love.

I think it's a character growth for Joowon. Yes he never forced anything but he was at Haesoo's throat every time. So to actually give Haesoo space and letting him go is I consider a growth.

And Taku being openly manipulative is refreshing to me vs him stealthily doing it. Whether it's a good or bad thing, it fulfills Haesoo's desire for an obsessive love. At the same time it proves how much Haesoo cares for Joowon that he doesn't want to drag Joowon in his complexes while Taku's fine.

then what was that whole dinner about as soon as he smelled like he's gonna lose haesoo, picking up a fight and throwing a whole tantrum there , then force a kiss on haesoo as soon as they were about to talk, joowon IS toxic yall seem to forget too fast, the way we're seeing him rn is that he's growing and i love seeing it, except for the part that he's still unhappy!
