It is a bit sad, and I know a lot of people feel sorry for Hoshina, but the fact is you can't so easily change how someone feels. I thought Katou's blindness and deafness were a little overkill, but after the thing in the library, I guess I can see in his mind, he's traumatized. Hoshina should not have gotten physically involved with Miwa until he was sure Miwa was over Katou, which would have been super hard to do. Trying to force a relationship most often ends badly.

Not really. I think miwa is a coward using others for convenience. Katou is a coward too for not facing his own feelings.

@iko You're just throwing the label "coward" without an open mind. Sure, we can all agree that Katou is a genuine coward for the detestable way he reacted to Miwa's confession. However, Hoshina was the one who decided the whole ploy in response to the confession. Obviously, this traumatized Miwa to the point that he was left vulnerable. Hoshina took advantage of this newfound melancholy to play around with Miwa (at first.) Miwa rejected him, but he soon gave in to Hoshina's advances because of his depression. Although Hoshina greatly changed into a better person by the end of the series, that doesn't change the fact that he took a poor approach at Miwa's feelings. He gave up his chance with Miwa right from the start. In the end, Katou and Hoshina acted as the cowards who produced the victimized Miwa. I just wish that Miwa would have ended up with Hoshina or neither of them.
