Support the author

GIN April 27, 2020 9:15 am

Hey there, I have a few questions and I hope you can help me:

1.How is the best way to support the authors?
2.To buy the Manga or to buy merchandise?
3.Which pages are good to by Manga legal and on which the author get the most out of it?
4.How can I pay when I don't have a credit card?
5.Are there any other options to support the authors directly?

I enjoy reading but it is so important to support the authors. When they get no money, they will not be able to do their work.

    1. Not to read their manga through this kind of site. Though you can't help it if you can't read, esp if they do not have official eng ver
    2. I think buying the official copy could help them more
    3. You could but it from mandarake, animate, book walker(which I recommend)
    4. You could use debit card or gift card I think?
    5. You could follow their social media and give moral support which is very important for them to keep them going

Thank you for your fast and full response.
I'm always looking for a way to say thank you for a hard work.
There are many works that I never get to see in my country but I hope that more people get to know and treasure Mangas.

Now I will check the websites you told me!

Buying the physical book or reading in official sites like Viz, Crunchyroll, or Shounen Jump could help the author more than buying the merchandise. If you buy the book, the credit would go directly to the author, while the money would just go to company if you buy the merchandise, and no matter how popular the merch became, the author wouldn’t get any benefit. Sucks but that’s how it is. ( ̄へ ̄)

Ah ok. I couldn't found any of the Manga I really like at crunchyroll... I don't want to get a book, cause I don't have any space. I want to by them online as ebooks.

What about Lezhin? Is this a good page?

For Korean webtoons/comics, try Lezhin, Tappytoon, Tapas, and Webtoon. For Chinese, try Webcomics. Viz, Shounen Jump, and Crunchyroll for Japanese.

What I don't like, is that you have more than one page to use not one for all. But it is how it is. Better than nothing. Thank you for your answers

So I too have a doubt. Please clear me if it's possible... Do the Mangago pay the contributors? I mean the one who upload stuffs translating by their own. So does mangago pays or not?

No, they don’t. The literally don’t have anything/anyone they pay. They have advertisements which makes the profit and no costs at all. Also, it is illegally connected to some manga sites that uploads automatically new chapters here.
