I hoped that Dojun wasn't drunk, but that he has psychological problems that cause him such strong denial that he will consent to sleep with Jinyoung then forget he did it, only remembering after being cued by Jinyoung, then becoming confused again - like having a split personality. Then the doctor is the only character in the story who has the training to both help and take advantage of Dojun. Sordid love ensues.
Sordid - I mean their story will have a dark, tainted quality or cause a feeling of moral corruption, which will reach even into the lives of our more wholesome couple, doyun and taehan, causing them angst and drama.
free speech as opposed to safety from hearing things that offend you, as in safe rooms, trigger warnings, pervasive racial equalizing of outcomes over situations.
Rape apologist as in I'm joking, of course, but I still think that verbal consent should be voluntary. Consenting adults doesn't necessarily mean a couple has made a verbal agreement to have sex. In taehan and doyun's story, the doc is the only one with the training to understand and help Doyun. He's still a hero for going above and beyond the call of duty to help doyun.
pffft. I was hoping for a hint of dark denial and a disturbed dojun haunted by psychological problems leading to a sordid drama that will oppress every character...and some real dirty sex. Oh well, as a free-speech rape apologist I'm still liking Jinyoung and I hope Dojun's problems are a powder keg of drama that doc can barely handle.
