well, this manga was part of the early yaoi era - where mostly focus on the sex w/o meaningful plot. Even if there's a plot, it revolves around rape or other dark stuff.
@hatori has a point, early yaoi mangas have those type of plots that's either dark or super sad.
He was raped because he liked a painting? And then he was drugged and locked in a room, whaaat? I don't know what it is about this story. But it's not great, I don't even think its good. I think the story COULD have been good. IF it was better written.
I like yaoi, I've read some crazy shit in this genre. But this story, I just don't like it.
