I agree! I like the way this ended. there were a lot of little details that were fed to us in the last chapter and the shorts afterwards. It’s the type of ending that suits the subtle style of storytelling used by the author. In real life, not everything is explicitly stated, but that’s quite hard to pull off when writing a script. Reality is spontaneous whereas fiction is planned. As a writer, what do you put in the dialogue and what do you show in other ways? I believe the author did this well. I *feel* the scenes more in this way.

my only complaint is that i doubt FL knew to tell jeow and ceasar that their mother is alive and well in the human world.. just wish we couldve seen them hear that news

Annora came back, she found her way back. Now I have a few ideas as to how. But, since I would be reaching lets get to why I think this was an awesome way to end, even if it was rushed.
And that is because of the extras. I saw a few comments on tapas, and i agree:
Firstly, one extra shows them (my take) after Annora returns chilling on the couch with Caesar. They mention the past and are happy.
Secondly, Lady Maryann was Jeow and Caesar's mother. What is the name of the cat who jogs her memory? MARYANN, which means that she survived, let go of her hate of humans, and somehow sends Annora back to Catsrule.
Thirdly, Jeow and Samo are together. Jeow is still alive five years later, which gives us hope for a future with Samo.
We do not need to have happy endings so drawn out. We were given enough details to build from.
My only curiosity is where was Maryann in the human world all this time, and how did she know to find Annora?
(sorry, i really enjoyed this work, and felt the need to defend it some)
