there's a live action series made. very awesome one, because they took all the trouble to follow the manga and ended up racking a very expensive production cost =). it's called Mars Zhan Shen

Actually, the Taiwanese drama was made in 2004 with Barbie Hsu and Vic Zhou. The drama has more story in comparison to the manga, but still good. That video was the opening of the drama MARS.
