Of course not! You can like whatever you want, there are a lot of fudanshi out there who are gay even male authors that make BL manga. Mayhaps this helps

You can like whatever you like, it’s fiction! You don’t hurt anyone as long as you don’t shove your interest to someone that doesn’t like it.
people say women or men cant enjoy yaoi because it’s “fetishizing” are also kinda saying that gay people cant enjoy watching hetero series on tv. which is bogus.
this twitter thread will explain a lot, read the replies as well! :)

You cant find a lot of porn or any hentai that really caters towards a female audience. Its very hard to find. I would read straight smut if it was actually decent but most of it is worse than what you find in yaoi surprisingly enough. At least in yaoi, you get scenarios that target towards a female audience but replaced with two hot guys. It is fetishizing gay men but I don’t feel too bad because its fiction. There are people watching explicit incest or rape porn. So I don’t feel too bad about reading yaoi if im going to be honest. Also, there really aren’t a lot of good romantic plots with smut in it. The only thing that is wrong and something i especially hate is when people ship any two guys together in real life to fulfill their fucked up fantasy. But this is fiction and I just enjoy smut in any form even if yaoi does contain really shitty plotlines, there are a lot of great outliers that just portray a cute relationship between two guys.
Don’t worry! There are tags and genre for a reason and that reason is to share likings to others that relate and others that don’t like it to stay away. You don’t have to let other biased opinions especially that contains cult-like thinking of equaling fiction to reality so they can manipulate mindset to theirs in what they portrayed as morally pure get to you.

I believe so long as YOU know what's OK IRL vs fiction, then there's absolutely no problem. This means the obvious things like rape and abuse, but also don't assume at all that what you read in yaoi about gays is the same in real life. I have a gay friends who, whilst they enjoy reading BL, laugh at the ludicrous portrayals in some mangas.
No don't care about what other people think, they are just too simple minded and still don't understand that what they they consider normal for them (guy with a girl) isn't for gay people they have the right to like people from whichever gender they want . Even as a girl I read yaoi not because it's "fetishizing".(≧∀≦).
I don't really have a right to an opinion on this particular circumstance, as i'm not a gay man, but i'll give a more general opinion of mine that can be applied to fiction interests in general.
I'm a pansexual woman, and I enjoy fictional porn(easiest way to put it) with all gender pairings.(added context)
I feel like 'fetishizing' something in regards to fiction isn't bad necessarily, but what can make it bad is fetishizing anything in real life that you might even consider to be the same as the porn. If you can properly seperate fiction from reality, and understand the difference between something that's imagined and drawn, and something that could potentially hurt someone if it hasn't already, then you're pretty fine! (I say it like that because some live-action entertainment includes actual people or animals being harmed mentally or physically, and that's not okay)
I could list a number of more extreme examples, but I feel like a pretty tame example (for... porn anyways) is public sex. It's always fun and super kinky to see characters doing it in a park, but I can say with certainty that I would be extremely angry at any friends who did the same with no regards to anyone that might see them. Idc if manga or anime characters get seen.
I DO care if your real-life ass is gonna be seen by some poor kid though.
Basically the jist is, you can enjoy WHATEVER you want entertainment wise, as long as you can seperate it from reality and understand that things portrayed in fiction are just that, fiction, imagination, and fantasy.

Kinda off topic but, is it wrong as a guy to like yaoi? I'm gay so it's relatable but is it still fetishizing? A lot of people dislike yaoi readers becuase of that
