Not really katou is a jerk but i kinda understood what he felt. I mean he,was confused about his feelings towards miwa and was scared of them. Both of them were guys and he was frustrated and didnt know what to do so he did what he did (although he could´ve handled the situation differently) . I totally understand why you would think of him as a jerk though. :)
