Their bodies are amazingly drawn, it blends perfectly with the action.
The stuck-in-the-hole joke with the capt'n was funny, I don't mind fatty characters, but it still weird me out to see the side art of her showing her tummy as if that's all she is about. She's a cool character (so far anyway) and her weapon is really awesome with so much impact. She's way more than just a tummy.
So far the designs feels fantastic, the claws, fangs and fur gives that feral boost to all the action.
I lowkey like that they don't have the conventional "perfect", copy-pasted bodies. Everyone has a different type, and the girls aren't stick-thin and the boys aren't either heavily muscular or lean. Nor is there someone comically fat just for the sake of being fat. I'm not saying bs like "being obese is okay", my point is that this manga shows real bodies. Altough, for people who are essentially special military, they should take more care of their bodies, but hell, they are already fighting when they are still in school, and one of them has basically 0 training, so that logic doesn't exist.
