I already know how this will go -- we're finally after nearly two decades of play-by-play pacing going to get a time skip where this necklace is their unspoken promise to return to one another when they've accomplished their dreams. God, it's like every drama ever that has to have the sudden "study abroad" or "separated by distance" plot line right before the end because they have to extend the drama for ... artificial bittersweet or putting off the inevitable culmination of the relationship to milk viewer counts?
Maybe if I hadn't been burnt by this so many times I wouldn't mind. Looking at you: Coffee Prince, Boys Over Flowers, The Master's Sun, My Love From Another Star, Faith, Goblin... THE LIST GOES ON. But it begins to feel cheap. Especially here where there's no *real* reason for the relationship to not just continue. It would be been fine for them to say, ok we are, but we're taking the pace very slow.
I dunno, maybe I'm just a salty fan who has been reading for far too long and is ready for the wrap up. Especially given how much time was wasted on filler.
