Y'all being pressed over the third story totally sends lmao. "romantization of cheating" lol first of all yes it is romantic if they have been in love with each other for like fifteen years? Also the author did show how troublesome and and "twisted" their relationship is, so i dont see no problem. Do you all really expect to read fiction only about positive, 100% healthy fluffy relationships? Like why call a story trash just because it deals with a topic like cheating, which btw is not uncommon, nor a crime. Thank you for your time

For me I absolutely hate cheating, and in stories I don't find it interesting at all. So it just sucks that its everywhere in stories, but I get it, some people like the drama it can add. I usually just do what I can to avoid it.

Thought it is the absolute worse when I'm deep into a story and fully invested. Then it just gets thrown in with no warning at all. (looking at you hugo and sweet heart trigger)

Nono i dont particularly like reading about cheating, i just dont understand why so many people go as far as calling the story "trash" just because they don't like the topic yaknow

That doesn’t mean it’s not open for criticism. People don’t like dipictions of toxic situations that are portrayed poorly, so therefore they didn’t like the third story and that’s understandable. But I agree that calling the whole story in general “trash” is a far fetched. And actually in a lot of countries cheating is considered a crime that could get you jail time (but only adultery that deals with married couples) lol

I don’t think the topic was necessarily the problem. More so of the normalization of their actions, but ig that’s up for debate

oh yea the normalization is what gets me most of the time, especially if it involves rape or minors.

That’s such a big problem in anime/yaoi. Anime with their over sexualization of women and minors and yaoi with their romanticization of rape...( ̄へ ̄)

I definitely do agree with those last two comments. And it gets really sad when people start building their whole ideals and values off of these yaoi standards

It made me uncomfortable but i wouldnt call it trash per say. It really sucks that all of this is normalized in BL. I get that some people(sometimes even myself) want drama, but we should really deal with how toxic it is (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

True but you should never take fiction THAT seriously:

But the author should've at least shows us more into the story. Like what happened to the gf and kida...how they talk it out etc

I get that thought but for me that kind of added to the charm of the story. I guess I just perceive the uncertainty and the strict focus on the main events as something the author did on purpose and they probably also wanted people to have that exact feeling of "something is missing" and "is this morally okay". If you ask me that's brilliant

I guess most people would judge a work by how it made them feel, but personally I sometimes force myself to read something and still give it a perfect rating, because the art, storyline and especially storytelling are so interesting
