I completely agree with you, but, personally, the reason I'd be annoyed is because that is how ALL of these stories tend to end.
It'd be refreshing to have a story where they don't change in that sense. I think it lessens the story trying to be told sometimes.
Ppl might say tht the girl didnt need to change herself but it was her choice. She wasnt forcing herself but she wanted to better herself and besides it's not healthy to eat too many junk foods and to lose weight u gotta start eating healthier which is good for her and her health. It was also nice that the guy became a motivation for her and seeing that she succeeded, it means he supported her all the way. I have no right to say this since I dont eat healthy foods myself(maybe in the future) but anyways I think it's nice tht the guy liked her wen she was chubby(NOT fat) theres a difference
