this manga really hit close to home. when i was younger, i had so much trouble when it came to accepting my sexual orientation. the whole idea of ‘why am i not normal?’ was drilled into my head every single day (and by no other than myself). it was truely a rough period - especially when i felt like i had no one to turn to at such a young age. but the moment when i was able to come to terms with it, i can tell you that it was the MOST liberating feeling.
to anyone who is struggling with any form of identity, just know that you do not have to shoulder your burdens alone. there are people out there that will be here for you and help you on your journey to self acceptance and self love. you are you. and even if it’s different to the social norm, it’s okay. you’ll be okay
