I’m having a hard time understanding too, well i get the ryan situation and how it effected him and all, but i just don’t get why a lot of people are hating on MQ like hello? no one forced edd to participate in this industry and i’m pretty sure he knew his vds will be sold everywhere , yes They both fucked up and they both have their flaws but again the whole blaming MQ for how things turned out situation is unreasonable
It’s not explained well in the manga but apparently the documentary was offensive not only for the victim’s family but it also triggered ryan (who also happened to be a rape victim in the past i think, although his participation in the vd was consensual, afterwards it still effected him on an emotional level) plus MQ kinda glorified rape and looked at the vd he made as art
Bruuuh. Saaame! Ed didn't own any of his shit. I would be able to swallow the ending a bit better if he had. But the plot took a very half-assed turn. Also thanks for explaining about the documentary. His art and how it seemed like he was glorifying rape. But I still feel like Ryan and Tommy personal shit had nothing to do with MQ. It seemed unjustified. He gave them choice. The right to choose. I just think the author has a weird grasp on rape to. In a way... idk
I like them both and their dynamic at first, the story is well written and quite realistic but these few last chapters weren’t rly delivering what i expected and hoped for
A lot of people are still acting as if edd was forced to do this and therefore he’s the victim
As an adult man who decided to participate in this line of work i’m pretty sure he knew the coincidences of his actions and that it may lead to problems with his friends, family, day job... yet it’s aaaaalll MQ fault huh?

I still don't see how MQ is a villain. Tommy and Ryan signed up for porn. MQ paid them. They spent the money. .... how are they victims???!!! (╯°Д °)╯
