To be honest at this point I'm not surprised anymore... (like kind of tired of being confused).
The author mentioned at the beginning that it's the different world but the names of places are to similar (in my opinion) and it makes me confused.
Examples (if I got something wrong feel free to correct me):
1. The home country is it Great Britain? The city is London? We have a building that looks like London Clock Tower. But the king is like Romanov? Why?
2. They were fighting on the "Crimm" which sounds similar to the Crimea Peninsula. But they were against the France?
3. The train you mentioned. If the war was modeled on the Crimean War then it would be around 1850s so there are trains but they aren't electric (if I remember correctly).
Still it's a different world so I guess anything could happen...
Sorry for the long comment. ( ̄∇ ̄")

What time period is this even set in? So far I have noted that it's the "horse carriage" period, and that they don't seem to have electricity yet, but now they are suddenly travelling by an electric train with electric lights hanging from the ceiling? Have I missed something?? (⊙…⊙ )
