im pretty sure that everyone recognizes it and just doesnt care because no. 15 'is just a kid' or something. as if that excuses anything. if a 40 year old man was neglected from the age of 10 and had the mental age of a 10 year old, does that mean he can be with an actual 10 year old?? wtf
omg fr the legal age in china (which i think the story was based in) is 18, so technically it’s illegal
bruh wdym technically? its 16 in korea, 18 in most of japan, 18 in china, 18 in us, 16 is the youngest legal age of consent everywhere im pretty sure. its very illegal. not trying to attack you or anything but youre right, its very much illegal, no technicality to it
YIKES yeah I'm holding onto some hope the author justifies such an age gap because right now I don't understand what was stopping them from making Louis a few years older or the others younger considering this is the SECOND time this kids almost been raped. You can't justify it because he had "dirty thoughts" about his friend, that's normal it's just exploring sexuality within your own mind and I was kind of excited in the first few chapters thinking that "oh cool thoughts about sexuality growing up presented in a non sexualized or fetishizing fashion" but now I'm on the fence. You can't justify mental age with attacking someone 6 years younger than you who is a minor, it is not only justified but paints people who do have trauma/mental illnesses in that light when you try and use those justifications idk if that makes sense...but I'll wait to see where it goes before I give full judgement and just hold off on buying chapters and supporting the author for now...
