I believe it's that way because most girls are seen as brats who can't get their way and if they do, they still can't decide (such as Yuuki Cross) and honestly, women really shouldn't even be a part of yaoi. Most of them are there to try and break up the couple for no good reason >.>
That's because they're portrayed that way. What's worse is that most of yaoi mangaka's are women & when they constantly portray their own gender so negatively, it comes across as self-loathing.

That story waz really cute though I would really appreciate it if they stop putting women in that kind of situation I mean most of the people watching yaoi are girls so I can't be the only one feeling sad about it aside from that the story was not bad.....
